April Adds Unexpected Candidate To Bulgaria's Snap Elections May 12

SOFIA, April 1-- Bulgarians were shocked this morning by Silvio Berlusconi's announcement that he is running for prime minister of Bulgaria. The media baron and perennial power in Italian politics said that he "just wants to help" Bulgaria.

Berlusconi said his decision is based on Italy's long and intimate relationship with the Balkans, which is so well documented in Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte," popularly know as Bunga Bunga in the Balkans.

Since midnight, hundreds of thousands of Italians have flooded streets from Milan to Naples to celebrate the possibility that Berlusconi will indeed emigrate to Sofia.
