Lost In Translation (Part A) Courthouse Steps A Very Easy Spot for Shooting, Says Prime Minister

A couple hours after a convicted mobster was shot outside Sofia's Central Courthouse Jan. 29, 2013, Prime Minister Boyko Borislov addressed the American Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce meeting close by in the same bustling midtown area. He called the courthouse steps "a very easy spot for shooting," according to local media. Just as Chamber members dined on that thought, the American Embassy was warning Americans to stay away from the area because the hunt continued for the perpetrator, who had fired from the roof of the Bulgarian Bar Association Building across the street. (The prime minister apparently sought to use the shooting to support his view that convicted persons should not be allowed free on bail.)
